GCHQ To Find Next Generation Cyber Security Experts

GCHQ, U.K based intelligence agency has launched a scheme called "Cyber First" to train talented people to become UK's next generation cyber security experts. Cyber First will conduct Cyber Security Challenge Programme and maths competitions in schools to select candidates.

Scheme offers financial assistance for those studying relevant science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses at undergraduate level. And it also includes work experience in government or private sector firms involved in national security, resulting in a job in the field after graduation.

Robert Hannigan, director of GCHQ said, "The world-leading young people we support through Cyber First will help protect the UK from the growing tide of cyber attacks and cyber crime."

"They will also play a part in GCHQ's key role of keeping the UK at the forefront of the multi-billion pound global cyber security industry," he added.
