Hackers Took Down French Media Websites ?

French media websites (Le Parisien, L'Express, France Info and Marianne) are knocked offline in a suspected cyber attack against their hosting service provider Oxalide.

Oxalide tweeted:
Current incident on our infrastructure-our teams are being resolved (Translation).

Sites known to be affected so far include the online portals of daily newspaper Le Parisien; radio station France Info; weekly magazine L'Express; online current affairs and culture magazine Slate.fr; free daily newspaper 20 Minutes; weekly magazine Marianne and investigative website Mediapart.

Le Parisien Tweeted :
Le Parisien site is currently unavailable. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to be back soon (Translation).

No hackers claimed responsibility of the attack yet. We will continue to update this story as soon as any information comes to light.

Update : The outage was not the result of a DDOS Attack.
