Backoff Malware Hit Dairy Queen Stores

Diary queen stores were hit by "Backoff" point-of-sale malwares. It is reported that, 395 stores were affected by the same malware. Customers are advised to stay alert. The one standalone Orange Julius store was also breached.

The company said on Thursday, "The stolen information comprised customer names, payment card numbers and card expiration dates. No customer information, such as Social Security numbers, PINs or email addresses were stolen".

The company CEO and President John Gainor wrote "We deeply regret any inconvenience this incident may cause."
